About Zebra Rita
‘Zebra Rita’ was developed by Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, USA. Bred in the mid-90’s of the twentieth century. A variety that has ‘Green Zebra’ in its pedigree – the flagship variety of Tom’s. Named by the creator with the name of Rita Declercq, who hosted Tom in her home in Belgium during his journey through Europe. Seeds were passed on to Gary Ibsen, of TomatoFest, by Rita’s friend and associate Gerd Fraeyman. Big, beautiful, smooth and slightly flattened fruit, with cream-green flesh and dark green stripes. Excellent taste, perfectly balanced with a fruity note. Juicy, with a very smooth flesh texture, just delicious. Regular leaf plants, determinate, compact and extremely productive. About 75 days from transplant.
