About Zagadka
Moldovan commercial variety, developed by Pridnestrovian Arg. Research Institute. First offered in the Seed Savers 2008 Yearbook by Tatiana Kouchnareva, Anmore, BC. Introduced commercially in North America by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2009. Very early, bushy, 3′ tall, determinate, regular leaf plants produce large yields of 2-4 oz., red, round fruit with dense meaty flesh with very good, well-balanced flavors. A good choice for farmers market, as it produces lots of blemish free fruit early in the season and fruits stay firm for several days after picking. Keeps well after harvest. Excellent for canning.
