‘Yuriy Gagarin’ is a very old Russian tomato variety named after famous Russian pilot and cosmonaut Yuriy Alekseyevich Gagarin, who became the first human to journey into outer space, achieving a major milestone in the Space Race in 1961.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plants that produce big (11-25oz./300-700g), bright red beefsteaks, slightly ribbed on the shoulders. Very meaty, dense flesh, juicy, and very tasty. Midseason, about 83 days to maturity.
