About Willa’s Cariboo Rose
‘Willa’s Cariboo Rose’ is a very beautiful dwarf-type tomato developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’, from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between ‘Budai Torpe’ and ‘Stump of the World’ in 2005. ‘Willa’s Cariboo Rose’ was selected from the ‘Sleepy’ family by Ted Maiden and named by Willa Osis. It was being tracked as ‘Wilpena’ but was discovered to be pink-colored tomato, instead of red. The name was changed to ‘Willa’s Cariboo Rose’. First offered to the public in 2016 by Heritage Seed Market.
Vigorous, potato, and rugose leaf plants, that produce a very good yield of small to middle-sized (4-8oz./120-240g) deep pink colored, oblate fruits with sweet, rich tomato flavor, very juicy and aromatic. Midseason, about 75-80 days to maturity.
