About Wayahead

Throughout the twentieth century, several old seed companies sold tomato varieties by this name. It is believed that what is offered by Victory Seed Company is the original variety, also known as ‘Hudson Valley’ or ‘Potato-leaved Earliana’, that was introduced by the S. M. Isbell & Company of Jackson, Michigan. This is not the variety commonly available by Jung Seed or many other modern seed companies. Indeterminate, potato leaf plants produce 2-8 oz., red, oblate tomatoes that are full of complex flavors.
