About Waverly
‘Waverly’ was developed by the members of the ‘Dwarf Tomato Project’ from a cross made between ‘Rosella Purple’ and ‘Orange Heirloom’ by Patrina Nuske Small of Australia in 2008, and named ‘Rosy family’. Stabilization was the collaborative work of Shawn Conant, Bill Minkey, and John Dunton. This variety was first introduced commercially by ‘Victory Seeds’ in 2020.
Regular and rugose leaf, dwarf-type plants produce a good yield of medium to large (4-16oz./120-450g), oblate, pink fruits. Good balanced, sweet, and savory tomato flavors. Midseason, about 78 days to maturity.
