About Val’s Green Striped
‘Val’s Green Striped’ is a green when ripe mutation found by Tatiana Kouchnareva in 2009 in the batch of ‘Sasha’s Altai’ tomato seeds, saved by Val and Dan McMurray of Wyndell, BC, Canada in 2005. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants loaded a very good yield of small, round green zebra-type tomatoes, with green interior and yellow epidermis with dark green stripes. Fruit is smaller (1-3 oz.) and more round than ‘Green Zebra’ and has brighter striping. Very good tomato taste. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
