About Tsygan
Tsygan AKA Gypsy AKA Shugan. Russian commercial variety, introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski, Minsk Belarus in the early 2000s under its translated name, Gypsy. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce large crops of 6-9 oz., oblate, juicy, purple/black fruits with some greenish shoulders. Very good, pronounced earthy, slightly acidic flavors. Delicious!
