About Tsarskiy Podarok (Tsar’s Royal Gift, Царский Подарок)
‘Tsarskiy Podarok’ is a Russian commercial variety created by Dederko Vladimir Nikolaevich, Postnikova Olga Valentinovna. It was included in the Russian State Register in 2007. First introduced commercially in the USA by Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds in 2011 under its translated name Tsar’s Royal Gift.
Determinate plant with regular leaf foliage produces medium-sized (7oz./200g), deep-pink fruit that is ribbed on the shoulders. This variety truly fits its name, as its sweet flavor and beauty surely befit royalty. A real treasure from Russia.
