About Tsar’s Favorite (Tsarskiy Lubimets)

Tsar’s Favorite, AKA Tsarskiy Lubimets. Russian commercial variety from St. Petersburg, Russia.
Introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus under a translated name, Tsar’s Favorite. That was the name that Neil Lockhart, who received seeds from Andrey, listed it in 2006 SSE Yearbook. Introduced commercially by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2014. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce 12-24 oz., very large, meaty and juicy, oblate-shaped, brilliant-red beefsteaks with few seeds and abundant, delicious sweet, well-balanced flavors.
