About Trucker’s Favorite
A very old commercial variety, originated in Burlington County, New Jersey and released by W. Atlee Burpee sometime before 1899. First introduced to gardeners around 1912. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces heavy crops of 6-10 oz., uniform, 3″, pink globes growing in clusters of 3-4. Smooth shoulders, juicy, with excellent sweetish flavor. Some concentric cracking in heavy rains. Good blight resistance.
