About Tolstyi Dzhek (Толстый Джек)
‘Tolstyi Dzhek’ is a Russian commercial variety, created by Dederko Vladimir Nikolayevich, Postnikova Olga Valentinovna in 2012. It was included in the Russian State Register in 2014. The name means ‘Fat Jack’ in Russian. Introduced commercially in North America by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2015.
Compact, determinate, regular leaf plant produces good yields of 4-5 oz. red, round, oblate, meaty, dark-red tomatoes with excellent sweet flavors. Perfect for salads and canning.
