About Todd County Amish
A genuine Amish family heirloom tomato. Seed for this variety was originally obtained by Douglas Wallace of Minnesota from a local Amish woman in the late 1990s. Indeterminate, potato-leaf, Tomato plants yield HUGE, 1-2 lb., pink, beefsteak tomatoes that are lightly fluted and lightly flattened and contain wonderfully delicious, rich, complex, sweet, well-balanced. old-fashioned tomato flavors. Fruit has little cracking or cat-facing for such a large beefsteak type. Produces fruit until late in the season. A fabulous sandwich tomato or salad tomato. A Gary Ibsen favorite.
