About Taste

‘Taste’ tomato was created by Fred Hempel* of Sunol, California, USA. Fred selected this variety from the same line that gave the famous ‘Blush’ tomato – ‘Maglia Rosa’ and ‘Zucchero’.
A short (about 3.9ft./1.20m), indeterminate tomato plant with regular and wispy leaf foliage offering high yields of saladette-sized (2oz./60g), elongated, plum-shaped, pink fruits with golden stripes, juicy flesh, and a sweet, fruity flavors. A stunning addition to summertime salads, and a great choice for fresh snacking. Mid-season, the first ripe fruits can be enjoyed approximately 70-75 days after transplant.
