About Taimyr (Таймыр)
Russian commercial variety. First offered in the Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Åke Truedsson of Klagshamn, Sweden. Taimyr or Taymyr refers to Taymyr Peninsula in the Far North of Russia, in Siberia. Dwarf determinate regular rugose leaf plants produce 1-2 oz., small, round, firm, red fruits with wonderfully pronounced sweet flavors.
