About Swisher Sweet
‘Swisher Sweet’ is a pink heirloom tomato that originated in the USA. Named after Charles Swisher, who received its seeds from his friend H. Pepirt of Versailles, Ohio, who grew this variety for 80 years. First offered in the Seed Savers 2005 Yearbook by C.F. Parlette of Martin, Ohio, who received the seed directly from Charles Swisher.
Indeterminate, regular leaf, very prolific plants produce large (14oz./400g and more), pink beefsteaks with creamy, sweet, and juicy flesh, perfectly balanced with acidic notes. Excellent, old-fashioned tomato flavors. Mid to late season, about 80-85 days after transplant.
