About Sweet Casady

‘Sweet Casady’ was created by Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, USA, from a cross made between (‘Casady‘s Folly’ x ‘Speckled Roman’) and ‘Green Grape’. Tom shared F3 generation seeds of this line with many gardeners and tomato lovers and there are a few different segregates available from this cross (yellow, brown, red).
‘Sweet Casady’ is a small (1oz./30g), elongated (6cm long), red striped fruit with thick flesh and very few seeds. Mild and sweet tomato flavors. Very vigorous, indeterminate, regular, and wispy leaf plant with outstanding yield. Fruits have a very good after-shelf life – can be stored for a few weeks after harvest. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
