About Summertime Green Dwarf
Summertime Green is an indeterminate, dwarf (tree-type) tomato. With rugose, regular leaves, 3′ tall plants produce abundant crops of 17oz./480g., smooth, slightly-oblate, green fruits with pale-pink blossom end blush. The color does not change significantly when fruits ripen, as they stay green and do not develop any yellowish hues, therefore, a ‘squeeze’ test is required to determine if a fruit is ready to pick. The fruit has nice creamy flesh and well-balanced flavors.
Developed 2006-2011 from a cross between Golden Dwarf Champion with Green Giant by Patrina Nuske Small in Australia. The variety was selected and named by David Lockwood after his newborn daughter, Summer.
