About Stor Gul
‘Stor Gul’ is oiginates from the Andes. ‘Stor Gul’ is a Danish phrase meaning ‘large yellow’. The seeds for this variety were sent to Karna Maj, the owner and administrator of one of the largest danish garden sites in 1994, from Bjarne Grube Wickstrøm who collected the seeds in France. First introduced in the Seed Savers 1990 Yearbook by Lars Olov Rosenstrom from Sweden. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce good yields of large, 10-12 oz., yellow-orange globes with good, rich, sweet flavor.
