About Spring Noire

‘Spring Noire’ is a very beautiful creation from Tom Wagner of Everett, Washington, USA. Tom developed it from a cross made between ‘Oregon Spring’ tomato and ‘Ananas Noire’. The fruit of this variety is a perfect combination of the characteristics of both parent varieties: round shape and the saladette size (3-5oz./80-150g) of the ‘Oregon Spring’ and beautiful coloration, rich, sweet, and fruity taste of the ‘Ananas Noir’. Yellowish-green flesh with red marbling has a citrus aroma with a distinguishing muscat flavor. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with very good yield. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
