About Siniy
Said to have originated in Estonia. However, as all the former Soviet Republics economy was very integrated, it actually could be from anywhere in the former USSR. First offered in the Seed Savers 1996 Yearbook by Åke Truedsson of Klagshamn, Sweden, who noted that this variety came from Estonia. Determinate, potato leaf plants produce an early crop of 6-16 oz., purple/black, slightly-flattened, oblate, juicy fruits with exceptionally rich, complex flavors.
