About Sibirskiy Velikan Rozovyi
Russian variety from Tamara Yaschenko’s collection. From Siberia. The name means ‘Siberian Giant Pink’ in Russian. The seeds were sent to Tatiana Kouchnareva of Tatiana’s TOMATObase in 2006 as part of a large seed exchange. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces 12-16 oz., pink, irregularly shaped beefsteak type fruits, some larger, meaty but also quite juicy with lots of seeds, excellent sweet flavor. Some variability in fruit shapes on the same plant – both heart-shaped and beefsteak shape have been observed. Recommended as a reliable producer for cooler areas.
