About Sibirjak (Сибиряк)
‘Sibirjak’ Russian origin. Is a Russian commercial variety, created by ‘Gavrish’ seed company. It was included in the Russian State Register in 2008. The name means ‘Person who lives in Siberia’ in Russian. First offered in the Seed Savers 2000 Yearbook by Åke Truedsson of Klagshamn, Sweden. Compact determinate, regular leaf plant produces early crops of 3-6 oz., red, round, oblate fruits with very good, well-balanced flavors.
