About Schellenberg’s Favorite

Schellenberg’s Favorite
‘Schellenberg’s Favorite’ is an old German heirloom tomato from the Schellenberg family, who lived near Mannheim. First introduced to SSE in 1997 by Bill Minkey and first introduced commercially in the United States by ‘Heirloom Seeds’. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce an outstanding yield of large (9-180z./250-500g), orange, beefsteak tomatoes, slightly flattened and ribbed on the shoulders. Old-fashioned, strong and bold tomato taste, sweet and fruity, meaty and juicy flesh, thin skin, and very few seeds. Late, 85 days after transplant.
