About Schappis Kusnachter Alpengluhn

Originated in Austria. Dates to the 1960s. Plant Gene Resources of Canada, CN 17796. Donated in 1985.
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), PI 289201. Donated in 1963 by Institute for Plant Production; Qualification, Research Centre for Agrobotany in Tapioszele, Pest, Hungary. Tatiana received seeds from College of Rockies, BC, Canada, who is a keeper of Val and Dan McMurray’s seed collection.
Introduced commercially by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2014. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce 2-4 oz., red, flattened and slightly fluted fruit with assertive delicious flavors that are more acidic than sweet.
