About Sarnowski Polish Plum
Polish heirloom. Mike Sarnowski of Schenectady, received seeds from his family who brought this variety with them from the Sarnow River area of Poland in the 1890s, passed seeds to Carolyn Male, who shared seeds with Mike Dunton of Victory Seed Company. Indeterminate, wispy, regular leaf plants produce 5-8 oz., red, very meaty, elongated, paste-type fruits, some with pointy blossom ends. Very few seeds. Excellent rich, complex flavors make this a great choice for sauces, processing, and fresh eating.
