About Santa Sweets
Santa, AKA ‘Santa Sweets.’ This variety was originally a hybrid, but 99% of F2s came true. Introduced to the United States market in 1997 by grower Andrew Chu, who obtained them from the breeder, Taiwan’s Known-You Seed Co. The majority of the production of this tomato is by a company called Procacci Brothers, who market them as “Santa Sweets”. In some parts of Thailand, they are eaten as bar snacks. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces copious amounts of small, red, grape-shaped, cherry tomatoes with exceptionally sweet flavors.
