About Sanka (Санька)
‘Sanka’ is a commercial variety from Russia, created by Panchev Yuri Ivanovich, Karbinskaya Elizaveta Naumovna. It was included in the ‘Russian State Register’ at the end of 2000. Introduced commercially in North America by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2015.
Compact, determinate, regular leaf, prolific plants produce very early crops of small (2-3oz./70-90g), round, smooth, blemish-free red fruits. Good sweet flavors and good crack resistance. Thick walls allow for keeping well after harvest making this a very good variety for farmers’ markets and canning.
