About Sandburg GWR
‘Sandburg GWR’ was found by Francois Gaborit of France in his garden while he grew Millard Murdock’s ‘Sandburg’ tomato.
Indeterminate plants with regular leaf foliage produce a very high yield of large (9-14oz./250-400g), beefsteak-type tomatoes, slightly flattened and sometimes waved on the shoulders. Beautifully colored, green when ripe bi-colors with sweet, somewhat fruity, rich tomato flavors and juicy flesh. Perfect for fresh eating, in colorful summer salads, or on sandwiches. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
