About San Marzano Lampadina

Heirloom originally from Italy. Now an American as well as Italian favorite. Vigorous indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce very high yields of large, deep-lobed, deep-red fruit shaped like an elongated sweet pepper. Very meaty with delicious, complex, tomatoey flavors making it a wonderful choice for a classically delicious sauce. Fruit has a thick flesh with open seed cavities.
