About Sabelka
Russian commercial variety. The name means ‘Little sword’ (referring to a toy) in Russian. First offered in the Seed Savers 2008 Yearbook by Åke Truedsson of Klagshamn, Sweden (SWED TR A). Introduced commercially in North America by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2015. Indeterminate, wispy, regular leaf plants produce big crops of 4-8 oz., long, horn-shaped, red fruits that are very firm, meaty and have dry flesh and very few seeds. The delicious sweet flavors make this a perfect choice for for sauce or drying.
