About Ruthje

‘Ruthje’ is of German origin, bred by Ulrike Behrendt in 1996, who selected them for two main features – flavor and resistance to fungal diseases.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce round and slightly heart-shaped, bright red saladette-type fruit (1.4oz./40g). Excellent, sweet, and well-balanced tomato flavors. The firm fruits keep well on the vine when ripe, without losing their quality. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
