About Russian South

Russian origin. The original Russian name was apparently lost. First offered in the Seed Savers 1989 Yearbook by Faxon Stinnett of OK, who received the seed from Donald Branscomb, CA in 1982. Introduced commercially by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2016. Determinate, regular leaf plant produces abundant crops of 4-11 oz., red, round, oblate fruits with smooth shoulders, juicy flesh and big, slightly acidic flavors.
