About Russian 117
Popular family heirloom from Russia. The original seeds came to Carolyn Male, NY in 1991 from Marie Kodama of Aiea, Hawaii. Indeterminate, regular leaf plant with wispy foliage produces an abundant crop of beautiful 1-2 lb., red, oxheart tomatoes. Unique because of the unusual double heart-shaped form of its fruit. What separates these blemish-free, solid fruits from most of the other heart-shaped varieties is the large size of the fruit which can reach 2 pounds. Best of all is the immense amount of delicious, rich and complex old-fashioned flavors.
