About Rosa di Sorrento (Pomodoro di Sorrento)

‘Rosa di Sorrento’ is an old Italian heirloom tomato variety, that originated in the Penisula Sorrento in South Italy – hence the name of this variety. The Peninsula Sorrento is named after its main town, Sorrento, which is located on the north coast (Gulf of Naples). Beautiful, big, round and oblate pink fruit with very meaty flesh and very few seeds. Plant is tall, strong and regular leaf, indeterminate and very prolific. It produce huge crop in the second part of the season, from about 85 days after trsansplant.
