‘Red Beauty’ is a recent creation from Brad Gates of Napa Valley, California, USA, released in 2016 through ‘Wild Boar Farms’. Medium-sized (4-6 oz., sometimes more) fruit, beautifully colored outside – red skin with green stripes, that turn yellow when fully ripe and strong antho splash on the sun-exposed part of the fruit. Very meaty, red fleshed beefsteaks, slightly flattened, are well balanced in taste and aromatic. Brad Gates writes, that this variety has a good hang on the vine ripe ability and great post-harvest storage ability. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants, have a very good yield from the middle of the season. First, ripe fruit can be harvested about 80 days after transplant
