‘Raketa’ is a Russian commercial variety developed by A.N. Lukyanenko in collaboration with S.V. Gavrish and the ‘Scientific Research Institute of Selection of Vegetable Crops’. Entered to the ‘Russian State Register’ in 1980.
Determinate, compact, regular leaf plants are loaded with an outstanding yield of small (1-2oz./30-50g), elongated, plum-shaped, red fruits with good, sweet and mild flavors. Very good after shelf life – ripe fruits can be stored for a few weeks after harvest. They’re also great for transport. Excellent for canning. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
