About RAF
Seeds sent to Gary Ibsen of TomatoFest by Antonio Romero, manager of Romero Seeds in Montijo, Spain. Antonio sent the RAF seeds as a gift to share with American gardeners. RAF is a French tomato variety first cultivated in 1969 that stands out for its special, complex, full flavor and texture. A variety noted for its crop resistance to salt water in the soil (which is encouraged for added tomato flavor). RAF’s name refers to the symbol (Resistente A Fusarium) or resistance to Fusarium. This variety is widely popular for greenhouse crops in Almeria, Spain. This semi-determinate plant yields huge crops of 3″, red, round tomatoes.
