About Purple Sunrise (Purpura Rits)
‘Purple Sunrise’ is said to be of Austria origin. The seeds of this variety were a gift from an Austrian tomato collector to Latvian colletor Valdis Pulins. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants are loaded with beautiful, large (7-9oz./200-250g), yellow beefsteak-type fruits with strong, antho splash on the shoulders. Sweet and fruity flavors make this tomato perfect for fresh eating. Mid- to late season, about 80-90 days from transplant.
