‘Purple Strawberry’ was selected from a cross made by Bill Jeffers between ‘Cherokee Purple’ and ‘German Red Strawberry’. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants are loaded with an outstanding yield of medium to large (4-11oz./100-300g), purple heart-shaped tomatoes with excellent, sweet, and complex tomato taste. Juicy yet meaty flesh and very few seeds make this tomato the perfect choice for fresh eating, but also great for canning and cooking.
*There is also a sibling line selected from the same cross – beautiful, large, purple beefsteak tomato named ‘Not Purple Strawberry’.
