‘Potimar’ was created by Henry Boxberger of France. It was developed from a cross made between ‘Potiron Ecarlate’ and ‘Marmande’ and named after the parental names first syllables: ‘Poti’ and ‘Mar’.
Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with a huge yield of large (11-32oz./300-900g), slightly flattened, and ribbed red beefsteaks. Firm, dense flesh, very few seeds, and very good, well-balanced, intense tomato flavors. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
