About Potato Red Skins
Potato Red Skins, AKA Redskin. First offered in the Seed Savers 1997 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois. Compact, indeterminate, regular leaf plant with delicate, wispy foliage produces 5-12 oz., red, blunt heart-shaped fruits with meaty texture, smooth shoulders and exceptionally rich and sweet flavors. Very few seeds. Some of the tomatoes may have what appears to be a ‘russet’ skin, hence probably the name.
