About Porter

Originally introduced by Porter & Sons Seed Company of Texas to suit the conditions of the Texan climate. Tall, indeterminate, regular-leaf tomato plants that produce large quantities of 4-ounce, plum-shaped, thin-skinned, smooth, deep-red tomatoes with exceptionally sweet flavors. A good choice for a salad tomato, canning, tomato sauces, eating fresh or making tomato juice. A good container tomato for hot, dry growing conditions. Porter also does well in hot humid areas.
