About Pomodoro Ponderosa
‘Pomodoro Ponderosa’ is a traditional tomato variety with long-keeper-type fruits that originated in Central-Southern Italy.
An indeterminate tomato plant with regular leaf foliage producing clusters of large cherry-sized (1.4oz./40g), round, yellow-orange tomatoes that ripen into an orange color outside and pinkish-orange inside. Firm flesh, and a crunchy bite of exquisite flavor. This variety’s flavor improves with complete ripening, especially the larger clusters whose shelf life can extend to even five months. Fruits ripen late in the season (about 90-95 days after transplant) and thrive in direct sunlight.
