About Pleated Carnelian
‘Pleated Carnelian’ tomato was found and named by Dale Thurber of Delectation of Tomatoes, USA, in 2017. He found it in his garden while growing ‘Fishlake Oxheart’ tomatoes, the seeds of which he had obtained from a private seed trade. Fruits are large-sized (11-16oz./300-450g), dark red, almost chocolate in color, very strong ribbed, and slightly flattened. Outstanding, intense, and rich tomato flavors. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with good yield. Midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
