About Rozovyi Myod (Розовый Мёд, Pink Honey)
Rozovyy Mod is a variety that was created by Dederko Vladimir Nikolaevich and Postnikova Olga Valentinovna and included in the ‘Russian State Register’ in 2005. First introduced to North America in the late 2000’s by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus who translate the name and shared the seeds as ‘Pink Honey’. First offered in the Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois.
A determinate, regular leaf tomato plant with large (6-9oz./160-250g), pink, round or truncated, heart-shaped, slightly ribbed, fragrant fruits. The thin-skinned, firm, meaty flesh has a very refreshing flavor and works well in most summer dishes, both fresh and cooked. The first fruits will begin to ripen during midseason, about 80 days to maturity.
