About Owen’s Purple
‘Owen’s Purple’ was developed from a cross made between ‘Paul Robeson’ and ‘Mortgage Lifter’ by Ginnie Farrell of Ohio. Oblate, dark purple, large (9-14 oz./250-400g) fruits with firm and dense flesh. Excellent, sweet, and rich tomato flavors. Very good crack and disease resistance. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with good yield. Midseason, about 75 days to maturity.
