About Norwood Meiners
‘Norwood Meiners’ was created by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms, Napa Valley, USA, and named by him after his special tomato friend, who was a great historian and passionate gardener from Mandeville, Louisiana, and passed away in 2010.
In early 2000 Brad Gates sent ‘Beauty King’ seeds to Norwood. He reported that one plant produced clusters of large cherry size tomatoes that looked like mini ‘Beauty Kings’. In 2012 Brad re-discovered these seeds and introduced this variety in 2015 to the public.
Round, red, and yellow striped large (1-3oz./30-80g) cherry-type fruits grow in clusters of more than 20 fruits each. Juicy, sweet, and full of aroma tomatoes have a great crack resistance and very good after-shelf life. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants with outstanding production starting from midseason (75 days to maturity).
