Bred by Fred J. Pritchard of the USDA as a stabilized cross between ‘Norton’ and ‘Duke of York.’ Released in 1922. Donated to the USDA in 1960. Victory Seed Company received seeds from the USDA. Large, indeterminate, regular leaf plant produces medium-sized, smooth, oblate, meaty, dense fruit that is generally free from cracks and offers well-balanced flavors. Very good canning tomato.
