The name means Cloister Meal in Russian. Seeds were sent to Tatiana Kouchnareva as part of a large seed exchange with Tamara Yaschenko of Biysk, Siberia, Russia in 2006. Tatiana grew it in 2006 and offered it in the 2007 SSE Yearbook. Introduced commercially in North America by Tatiana’s TOMATObase Seeds in 2009. Indeterminate, regular leaf plants produce 7-20 oz., medium to large, orange, round fruits with smooth shoulders. Excellent sweet flavors.
